In order to increase the engagement of the editorial board with the community at large, the Astronomical Techniques and Instruments (ATI) is recruiting Young Editorial Board Members (EBMs). This is a collaborative editorial model in which Young EBMs review manuscripts in their areas of expertise alongside the editorial team. The Young EBM will work closely with the other editors to ensure that all manuscripts are subject to the same editorial standards and journal policies.
Who are we looking for?
Professionals with a passion for open access, data sharing, innovation in scientific publishing, and a drive to be an advocate for their field. Individuals with significant expertise in the area of the ATI's scope are welcome; individuals early in their careers who have made significant contributions to their field in an effort to be more inclusive of the community as a whole, are also qualified candidates.

The young editor will work closely with the other editors in soliciting and evaluating manuscripts and managing the peer review process. The Young EBM is responsible for the scientific quality of the manuscripts received. He/she will adhere to the ethos, editorial standards, policies and scope of the journal, and ensure that manuscripts are handled in a professional, efficient and proper manner.
The Young EMB will have access to training modules to help develop your editorial skills, and our in-house editorial and administrative team will be on hand to provide additional support as needed.
